They recently announced an entire new product range that will target drivers looking for a sportier driving experience but still want to keep the familiar comforts of the traditional BMW line. In other words, they are going to offer a more robust product range that sits comfortably between the regular line of BMW vehicles and the loftier and sportier traditional M variants. The best of both worlds, so to speak. The model line, to be called "BMW M Performance Automobiles", will feature better performing, more powerful variations of a wide range of existing BMWs, including gas and diesel-engine models. "We are targeting our efforts at customers looking for more emotionality and more performance, but who don't want to forgo the everyday usability of their cars," said Dr Friedrich Nitschke, President of BMW M GmbH .2011 was a successful year for BMW M. The BMW 1 Series M Coupe turned out to be significantly popular, and the new BMW M5 was clearly no slouch, either. 2012 should prove to be a good one, too, with the world premiere of the all-new BMW M6, plus quite a few more.
